As a family-owned small business, Leigh’s sons: Remy and Nigel work part time, learning about appraising real estate in the RI market. Leigh Besson, Chief Appraiser, is a native of Rhode Island and holds a BS degree in Business from the University of Rhode Island. Leigh began appraising RI real estate in 1990. He was the one of the first appraisers to pass the RI Appraiser Certification requirement introduced in 1996. He holds Appraiser Certification Number CRA.0A00269. He is also a RI Real Estate Broker and holds Rhode Island Real Estate Broker License Number B14408. When not appraising, selling, or finding homes for clients, he is active in the RI Beekeeper’s Association, and loves to sail on Narragansett Bay
